I NTERGENERATIONAL F AMILY W ORSHIP E XPERENCE (I.F.W.E.)
Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go, even when he is old he will not depart from it.
Mark 10:14-15 Jesus says “Let the little children come to me; do not stop them; for it is to such as these that the kingdom of God truly belongs. Truly I tell you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child will never enter it”.
The children and families are important to God. Even when He talks about our relationship to Him it is in light of a family. God wants families to worship together and not be separate. The Family worship is designed so families can truly worship together. Family Worship is designed around Kids Own Worship that is currently used. This worship service will pertain to all generations (which is a major challenge). It is important that the children see their parents praising and worshiping God and setting the example for them. Parents and grandparents will love watching their children and grandchildren truly enjoying worship. Worship will consist of music that the kids are currently doing in Kids Own Worship along with songs they have learned to love at VBS and Kids Own Worship. Worship music will also be lead with our own praise band leading us in relevant praise music. The message will be both in children's format along with adult lessons. Use of illustrations and video will keep everyone involved through the worship experience. It is our hope and prayer that the family unit will become stronger in Christ and God will be glorified in what He does.
Families that have members with developmental disabilities such as Autism and Down Syndrome are more than welcomed each Sunday. Calming rooms and Nursery with closed circuit TV along with volunteers with experience with ASD are available if needed. |
